# **The Mask**

A screening of The Mask as part of the Jim Carrey Comedy Classics film cycle organized by the American Language Center of Tangier in partnership with the Cinémathèque de Tanger.

## **About This Event**

The American Language Center of Tangier dedicates October to comedy classics that helped establish Jim Carrey as one of Hollywood’s most recognizable comedy stars of the 1990s and early 2000s.

The programme features The Mask, the 1994 comedy directed by Chuck Russell. The film follows Stanley Ipkiss, a bank clerk whose life changes when he discovers a mysterious mask that transforms him into a manic, mischievous superhero.

The film stars Jim Carrey, Cameron Diaz and Peter Riegert. It is loosely based on the darker comic-book series published by Dark Horse Comics.

**Special access**: Free for ALC staff, teachers and students. Students must present their ALC Student Card; teachers and staff members will be asked to provide their names.

**Tickets**: Available at the Cinémathèque de Tanger.
