# **Painting Workshop Inspired by Matisse with Brigid O’Connor**

Discover Fauvist landscape painting in a hands-on workshop with Brigid O’Connor, inspired by Henri Matisse’s time in Tangier and his 1912 painting Paysage Marocain (Acanthes).

## **About This Event**

Join Brigid O’Connor for a 90-minute introduction to Fauvist landscape painting at the American Legation Museum in Tangier.

Inspired by French painter Henri Matisse’s time in Morocco, the workshop explores his 1912 work Paysage Marocain (Acanthes). Participants will create their own master copy while learning landscape painting techniques, color theory, and the history of Morocco’s influence on Western art.

The workshop is free and open to participants aged 16 and over. Places are limited, and advance registration is required through the link in the organizer’s Instagram bio.
